couple questions:
what type of strings sound good with acoustic electric basses?
im talking company and type (roundwound, flat, ... whatever)

well the standard for any acoustic is usualy phosphor bronze strings.... the standard is usualy a roundwound standard guage (.45) set - made by a loada companies... including big names such as elixir and rotosound.
As for sounds good.... they'll give you quite a deep tone (well the kind you'd associate with an acoustic guitar really).... you can use whatever you want though, steel and nickle will obviously be a bit brighter, but the low end can often sound kind of dull and unpronounced with these. Flatwounds obviously give a much duller tone with a lot less attack... but on an acoustic this is emphasised even further - it does give you a very smooth bassy sound, but obvioiusly thats not suited to a lot of styles... nice for jazz though
