I was looking on ebay for a double bass pedal. I'm interested in the iron cobra(don't need feedback) but the retail on it from normal musicians' sites is 299.99. I was looking at another on ebay and it said -brand new, never been played- blah blah and it was buy now for 239.99. Is that guy trying to pull a fast one or what. I only ask cause I alway see things like that and I wonder why they are sold new for that price.

I think online stores sell they're stuff cheaper than music stores do... It's possible this guy bought his double pedal from a store for $239.99 and he is trying to get it all back by re-selling it...

It could be he just wanted to unload his inventory. He's still making a profit on it even though it's $60 under the retail price, I say go for it.

Just make sure you check the feedback and shipping cost. Alot of people list stuff for pretty cheap, but make up for it in shipping cost.

Link? Usually it's pretty obvious if the guy is shady or not. Otherwise if you can't tell, email him your questions. If he answers promptly and appropriately in a professional manner, then you shouldn't be too worried.
