I'm looking into buying a new kit my budget is $800 to$1300.The sets im looking at right now are
A)Taye ProX List Price:$1,245
B)Premier Cabria Metallic List Price:$1,195
C)Mapex M Birch List Price:1,199
Any advice on which to buy out of those kits or any other kits?

those kits aren't semi pro
I would go for the Mapex out of those 3, I have the older basswood/maple version and it has served me well.

Sonor 3005, Mapex Pro M, Premier artist are what I would consider high intermediate/semi pro

To TS, your user name would be quite silly if you went with anything other than a Taye,

^I'd say that's about the same range, isn't it? Don't forget about PDP kits. Those are awesome as well :thumb:

Yes, PDP kits are indeed awesome. CX, MX, LX, and LXE are all maple kits, and are pretty reputable. The only bad thing so far that I can say is the tom hardware could use an upgrade. I upgraded mine to DW hardware. Other than that, I hear Sonor Force 3005, and Mapex Pro M are quite popular.

Sonor Force 3005 or a Mapex Pro M. Both are great semi-pro drumsets.

I really don't know. I do know that their prices in general have raise since about a year ago. I wouldn't really know because i didn't really start looking at kits since about last month.

Of those three, I'd say the Mapex, but the only reason I say it is because it's the only one I've actually played.
