I got an SG for Christmas and when i play with the amp it ounds softer then my old Strat but its at the same volume is there something i should know about SG's

What do you mean by strat and i have an epiphone G310

hes probly asking about the pickups, did you by emgs or actives??? or it might be the pickups were wired incorrectly( bad soldering) so you might want to check that.
