Lately I've had an urge to play some old Super Nintendo games. Any suggestions for games I should try? I have a few games already, like Zelda, Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, and Super Mario RPG, but I want to expand my SNES horizons.

Kirby all-stars is very awesome, the swallow-enemies-and-get-their-power feature is simply brilliant.
Also seconding that chrono trigger suggestion, one of the best rpgs for the snes ever.

I never really could get into Killer Instinct. I always got my *** kicked in it because I didn't know how to do anything. And Mortal Kombat I for the SNES is crap, since all the blood and gore is taken out. The fatalities look more like the fighters are being tickeled to death.

Contra 3, Megaman X (1, 2, and 3).
I was thinking about Contra, but I can't ever seem to find it anywhere.

Only when I cheated and used Motaro. Even then, I still could only beat Shao Khan one out of every 50 fights on the easiest setting. Shao Khan sucked. =\

Lion King is too damn hard and angering. I spent almost a whole day trying to beat that damn game, and after dying about 50 billion times, I finally get to fight Scar, or whatever his name is, and then after two seconds of fighting him, I die, and I've used up all my lives. And then of course there's no save or anything, so if I want to beat it, I have do do the game all over again.

Donkey Kong wasn't too bad really, though I know there was a certain part of the game that I couldn't get past. I think it was either a boss or one of the water levels. After that, I just gave up.

Indeed. But it's too easy though. After you beat it there isn't much else you can do. The character's level max out at 30, and there's no secret part of the game where the monsters are super hard to fight, so there's no challenge.

I guess you can make it more challenging by seeing how fast you can beat it. :p

Mine's sitting right here in my room. :D

The only problem is that I have to find the cord that plugs into the TV. It's retarded though, because the TV I used to play it on didn't have the red/white/yellow input things, so I had to use the screw on thing. It's such a pain in the *** to put on my new TV now. =\

Awww.. Boo... I don't have an NES.

I've heard mixed reviews about them, though I think most of the negative criticisms are coming from people who are in love with the Playstion versions, and had never even heard of the original Metal Gears until after the new ones came out.

Regardless, I've always wanted to play them, just so I can get the story.

Instead, my parents decided to buy me this game that needed the superscope. It was good fun the first and only time I played it, when my parents broke down one day, went to the game place, and rented me the super scope one weekend, but other than that, I never got to play it. =\

That's really fun. Especially the battle modes, where you have to pop the other player's balloons.
