new bass?

ok so ive had my bass for about 6 months and im pretty good. Well I got a total of 550 u.s dollars for christmas and i want to spend it on a bass. Any suggestions on what kind.

Alright, we get these all the time:

1- What kind of tone do you want?
2- What kind(s) of music do you play?
3- Is there any type of bass you're learning more toward or anything? Any bass you hate? Any special things we should know, i.e., if you need short scale, etc.?

Current setup, styles of music you play, and number of strings you want would be good information to give us...

You could mabye find a used Warwick Corvette on ebay.
Or a used Geddy Lee Jazz on ebay.

For that price I'd get a Spector Legend (Bubinga). Or you could save another $150 and get the Geddy sig. or the Jazz 24 if you're a Fender fan.

Well, if he sucked we would have to recommend a completely different sort of bass alltogether...

Ibanez SR506...i was in teh same position and got it on ebay mint for about 475 (i forget what shipping was it came to around 500 total) and i havent regretted it one bit
