Seriously, take a listen.
This is my prime audio... It's like 4 in the morning and i'm playing drumset in my house... my parents are asleep and I don't know why they aren't complaining.
I'm proud of this audio... its so fun to drum late at night cause you start to get sleepy and don't even realize what you are doing.

I rather enjoyed that. It was indeed somewhat relaxing. This gives me new aspiration: to be able to convey a relaxing mood on drums like you did. Great job!

Man, cool, latinish, that song puts forth a very relaxed atmosphere. I too would like to know what cowbell that is. And also, what sort of kit do you use? specs!

Thats quite a nice kit! diggin the roto toms man! Im thinking about getting a rock ridge rider myself, is it versatile?
moogoogaipan
12-27-2005, 11:49 AM
versatile, eh?
Yeah... hit it on the yellow thing and it's loud, but you can pull some dynamics and color tones out of the different sides of it... I have it set up at an angle so I can hit the yellow guard or the shoulder.
Thanks for checking the kit.
great kit you have, the audio is very relaxing :D
maybe you should clean your cymbals ;) alot of dust on 'em :thumb:

^^^I agree... they are bright clean now. That picture was taken maybe 2 days after refinishing the basement, so some of the ceiling spackle fell from the roof and made them nasty.
I'll get some new pics of my set-up here in the near future.

wow I'm really liking that.
now for the obligatory "how long have you been playing?" question.. :)
seriously, I dream of a day where I can have that sort of independence.. often, I know exactly what I want to play in me head, but my physical abilities limit me somewhat.
and 4am is good for ANYTHING creative! I often stay up late doing work, and the 1am-5am window is usually when I work best because everything just feels so damn free. reminds me of a chan marshall quote/lyric: "where is the night so warm and so strange / that no one is afraid / of themselves?"
good job man.

lol...yeah... 4 a.m. is the best.
This will be my 6th yr playing. I started when I was 12 roughly.
The usual age when kids start school sponsored music programs.. I played trumpet, but learned drumset on the side.. then after a year, I switched to percussion full-time.
Thanks for the compliments and the criticisms guys.

Wow man, that kit looks very very smooth. Love the setup and everything.
As far as the audio goes, ill pry add it to my pod (you should be proud, its just a shuffle) I espically enjoyed the grace notes that seems expertly placed. Made a pleasent taste in my mouth.

It's chain driven. It's old though, I bought it off my first drum instructor when he stopped being a drummer to be and organ harvester...(I guess he was tired of the musicians wage).
And thanks for putting me on the shuffle... that makes me ecstatic:chug:
