You got the same head setup as me!! Except do u have a PS3 on your bass batter??

No, right now it is a 22" EMAD with no dampening rings attached.

Its a shame too, when I got my heads I wanted to grab a Remo PS3 to replace the EMAD, I would have even liked to get a PS2, but the shop was out of both types except in the Pre-Packs.

That EMAD sounds great but suffers from horrid durability issues. The option to use the EMAD only lasts for about a few months. The EMAD ring breaks and falls off the head around that time. May as well be a PS2...

Any PS2/3 users around here??

lookin great man. tahts one of my fav. kits on here. those korgs are awesome for the price, i have one. and to your question...i am a ps3 user. i have a clear ps3 for batter and a smooth white ps3 for reso. its great. i love the sound i get out of it. nice coated emps too man im thinking about switching from g2 to coated emp and diplomat as resos for them.

Hmmm a Diplomat for a tom reso...

I wonder how that would sound. They are so thin that the tom would resonate and sing much longer than normal.
I've always been a fan of an Amb. snare side over a coated Amb. or CS on the snare. The toms would have a coated Amb. or Emp. over clear Ambs.

Only super thin head I've used was a Hazy 300 for my maple side snare when I had it.

I used to be a fan of the simulated studio sound that well tuned Pins. would give me. Lately I've fell in love with the warm open tones of the thinner batter heads.
And as always, I've owned both Aquarian and Evans, and Remo keeps me comnig back!

i just took the hazy 300 off of my snare and replaced it with an amb. at the time tahts all gc had so i just took it to replace my stock pdp snareside. i love the amb so much more. im gonna give the 300 to my friend that still has his stock on there. it only has about a month of play on it.

I'll never use anything other than a coated Amb. over a clear Amb. on my brass snare. I'm thinknig of trying out a diplomat snare side once I get a solid wood snare. I am to afraid the bearing edges on my Edge snare will slice through a diplomat if I tune it high...

I use diplomats for my reso on all my drums besides the bass drum. Sounds great.

And do you think we could see some specs? I'm loving the cymbals.

The bell has a lot of "bell like" qualities when struck softly. For example, if you took a huge alarm clock and set it off, this would be the sound you would get.

When struck hard the bell really chimes. It rings for about an hour after its hit and sounds like a "clangy" chime. If you have ever listened to to The Chariot, their drummer uses this bell in almost every song.

Thanks for the complements guys :)

That is one of the best setups I have seen. It's quite large, but it seems really clean and easy. Brilliant.

I'm thinking of doing a thread/how-to on using (odd) pieces of hardware to create unusual stand combinations sometime soon. It will have loads of pics. Essentially it will be a small guide to inspire others to set up their hardware in ways they may have not originally thought of!

Wow, that kit looks perfectly set up, apart from the hihat is miles away from the snare, but apart from that, everything looks really tidy. Also those white VF brushes look cool

Id appreiciate it if you had a look at my thread too :)

heh, i always thought i was the only hardware mixing fanatic. clamps/dogbones were made for people like me :D

i got soo tripped when i saw the DW9000 multi stand, because i was doing that same thing with another cheap set of boom stands, except they were much less quality, werent knurled and usually just ended up hurting me :p
