My name is BB and I am a recovering BT-aholic. I've gone down that road many times before only to be infected with naughty and embarassing viruses that brought nothing but shame and misery.

I would like to suggest to the TS that he delete those files upon completion of download and do a heartfelt and forthcoming forth step. Only the most rigorous honesty will work in this desperate situation.

29 gigs and a 250 gig HD ready for set up? I fear it might be too late. :(

You can cover your shame, yes. But you are the one who has to live with it.

Easy does it, boys. One day at a time. This may call for the serenity prayer. Rely on your higher power. He/she/it is there for you. :)

Since I've recieved my 300gb external hardrive for Christmas, I've downloaded

Fruity Loops 6
America's Army
(Downloading) The Sims 2

ThePatient

I only really use it download shows I don't get a chance to watch, like Arrested Development and Family Guy. Plus it brought me all four seasons of Scrubs. And I can't forget the days I spent downloading Sims 2.

I've wanted to download The Shield for a long, long time, but they're never been healthy enough. Plus I can't figure out how to burn to a DVD. Who would want to watch that show on a computer monitor? No one. That's who.

You are so close. I have stood where you stand. You are at the turning point. Take your own inventory, not mine. Recovery is just a baby step away. But you have to want it. Just a little....

Very good. Getting honest is the first step to recovery. I would like to offer to be your BT Anonymous sponsor. But that's up to you. I'm only here to be of service. A loving and caring instrument of my higher power. Tell me "Zakath" when did you first realize you have this problem? You must trace it, face it, and erase it!

Holy crap 29 gigs?! The most I've downloaded was 8 gigs, and that was for 3 seasons of Family Guy.
You've come to the right place. 8 gigs is just as well as 29. Remember, their is no such thing as a "little crack". Same with downloading. It's the same disease...

Limewire sucks.. it's only good for downloading individual songs. Torrents are for entire games, movies and cds.

It's quite different but essentially the same (to the human obserrver at least), I've never used Limewire so I can't tell you exactly what differences there are.

But I'll try bit torrent later.

It's just easier.. you only have to dl one file instead of finding each song.

I know one torrent site had to shut down because of their ISP, but I don't believe that anyone has gotten sued over downloading torrents. Plus there are tons of different sites where you can find torrents so if you can't find what you're looking for on one site, it'll probably be somewhere else.

Zakath
12-27-2005, 12:42 AM
True. The only downpoint about BT is that it depends on other people. :\
Yea that's a big problem. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v190/Zakath/torrentdl.jpg)

You need a ****in client to download torrents.

Zakath
12-27-2005, 12:52 AM
No.. I didn't use one when I downloaded stuff. If you just straight-on download it from the server, it's gay. It's slow as crap. Only reason I didn't use a client cause I didn't know they existed.
Well that merely confirms my suspicions of your incredibly low intellect. They only tell you every single page that you need to download a client, child of a horse rapist.

I can't compete at all. :-/

In my time using Bit Torrent I've downloaded about 25GB worth of movies, concerts and TV shows. Not that much in the grand scheme of things. And I've probably gotten about 5GB-10GB worth of music off BT, although all those band entire discographys are very tempting.

I love BT! I have downloaded so many anime series' via it (Gundam Seed, Gundam Seed Destiny, Naruto, Blue Gender, Hellsing, Neon Genesis Evangelion) and loads of albums, including the Ark Storm discography which costs 150$ on import!

Gooooo TORRENTS!
