i have been playing electric for a yr now, and i just got a taylor acoustic for x-mas and i dont know how to play the rhymes like the ppl in dashboard, brand new, and yellowcard play i need some help or some easy songs ot learn how to play the rhythem and switch around alot, if ppl know what im talking about. if anyone can help that would be awesome.

I think he means rhythms, as in strum patterns or possibly chord changes.
. . . practice . . .
with a metronome, of course.

um, start simple... 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & strums... then mix it up with whatever you want...
1 & 2 3 & 4
1 2 & 3 4 &
1 & 2 & 3 4
(For example, strum on each number or &, dont on the blank spots...)
Make sure while strumming, that on the pauses you keep your strum motion going, and just simply pass over the strings without hitting them. You dont want to stop your arm motion or it will F up your rhythm.

Yeah...just practice...you got a Taylor...better than 99% of people's first acoustic guitars!!

what other songs that r more indie, powerpop, and punk/emo. like form blink182, brand new, new found glory, dashboard, and ect. also what tab site should i use since mxtabs.net is gone for some reason.

1) Practice
2) get a metronome
3) If the songs you play sound funny Make sure your guitar is in tune

thats pretty much how i learned strumming is playin everythin in g
the best thing u can do is play at Church- great experience, bein around sum else whos played accoustic- u get to learn how to change chords FAST
american pie- don mcclean
complicated- avril lavigne

sumer of 69- bryan adams (that ones in d)

cant think of any more (too lazy) but heres a tip- rest ur elbow on the body

Few questions. Wat happened to mxtabs.net????? If you want a good tab site go 2 guitarmasta.net Yea, they're good and accurate. Can any1 tell me where 2 find the solo for 'Lonely Day' SOAD?? I can play tha whole song but 1 can't find tha solo anywhere?

dude putting brand new in the same sentance as blink 182 and nfg is a sin. Brand New is way better than blink and nfg
