Currently I'm using a QSC RMX 1450 power amp with a Tech21 sansamp pedal as my pre-amp. I'm planning on getting a compressor/limiter and I wanna be sure that going bass>tech21>compressor>QSC is the right way to go? It wouldn't be bass>compressor>tech21>QSC would it?

Well.. I think it would be compressor - sansamp - poweramp. Since you will always have your compressor before your pre-amp. I know no one who puts his compressor in his effect loop, so therefore I would put the compressor before the sansamp.
And when you're delivering sound to the poweramp, it might distort the compressor (if it is in between) because the output of the sansamp is +10 (if you have the BDDI). You can always try though :smoke:
Why do you want a compressor anyway? I always have the feeling that the sansamp compresses the signal quite a bit..

Well if I play only fingerstyle then it's fine, but in most songs my band plays I change to a slap/tap style to accent certain parts of the song and when I do that the volume increases a significant amount and I want something to keep the volume balanced.

i would put the compressor after the sansamp, so you get a compressed version of the altered signal
