I'm thinking of copying jamie_dunce and enhancing the my schecter custom 4 because i highly doubt my dad will let me buy a new bass. But anyway, heres what I wanna do.

U-Retro

I think the schecter has active pickups, not electronics..would this clash? and I will have to make more holes, do you think i could do this with some help from my dad? and I will have to solder, no?

new neck
Jamie is goin for the gold with a shukur, but Im thinking warmoth. What sounds do what woods give for a neck wood? Im also thinking that the neck and fingerboard matching colors would be pretty, especially matching the natural finish on the bass. What wood is that lighter colored one? can I use the tuning machines from the old neck on the new neck?

bridge
I really have no idea what sort of bridge I could get for the schecter, or if its worth it to get one, what do you all think?

any other upgrade suggestions are happily welcomed!

Thanks all!

Schecter's have active preamps and passive pups. Also, I *think* that EMG pups will only work with EMG preamps...

Don't count on that one though..And why not just buy stacked pots instead of drilling more holes? Yes you'll have to solder.
