Tubes pop when they're brand new. Tubes pop when they're dying. For the time inbetween you shouldn't have any problems.

Hm... Maybe I'm missing something here, but I still don't see the question. Were there supposed to question marks at the end of the last sentence of your first group of sentences?
I mean: the "??"s- were those intended?

two question marks mean confusion, to me.

Very new I just got the amp a few days ago
It has seemed to have stopped popping now , If it starts up again I'll know somthing is wrong.

You should turn the amp on in stand by and let the tubes warm up for at least 30 seconds, this important for the life of the tubes. Standby is a lower voltage and just turning the amp and not using the standby can wear out the tubes quickly.
When you turn the amp off have the stand by in the on, amps plays mode, this allows the tubes to power down, I turn the amp am off and then put it in standby.

Hey Austin
Thanks for the reply, yeah its important to me to make the tubes last as long as they can, but in the manual i downloaded from the net it says the oppisite I think its written in a funny way, It says to power on the amp to warm it up then push standby heres what it says.
This switch should be used for a) allowing the amp to warm up before turning the standby on (at least a minute - prefurably 2/3 minutes if possible) and b) turn the standby switch off when taking a break (rather than switching off the whole amp) therby keeping your amp at the "ready" without waiting for it to warm up again. Remember to do these two simple rules and your valves will love you for it and should last an awful lot longer before replacement is needed.

Hi Damion
The standby switch is confusing in how its labelled, when you turn the amp on, the standby switch should be in the off position, this actually puts the amp in standby.
The standby switch in the on position actually takes the amp out of standby.
So the statement is right let the amp warm up before turning the standby on. Since switching the standby to ON actually takes the amp out of standby.
Yes its confusing.
