View Full Version : different types of snares...
I need to know the difference in these types of snares; Jungle, Jazz/Rock (the type on most sets), Piccalo, and bad sounding snares, and marching snares. As of now i have a bad sounding snare, its metal bland and it has the stupid ringing like GGGRRRrrrrRRRTTTGGGFFSfsffffFGGGTtttT (if you know what i mean). but anyways can you send audio of different snares for me.
thanks alot

there are only bad sounding snare's when you dont know how to tune.
-jungle snares are completly different than normal sounds.. usually have a jingler on it or something to make it unique.
-your typical snare is what is...well typical.. slight ring/midrange sounds. bright but deep.
-piccolo snare is a tight high pitched poppy snare that is very shallow for more attack
-marching snare is a marching snare with a kevlar head that is very deep and usually has 2 snares on it for extra snare sound.
there no sounds needed
btw it sounds like you need to tune your snare up to where it doesnt ring.. and /or get a vented head...which are my new favs. that cuts down on ring
Edit: btw your dumb :thumb:
