right basicly this thread can be where we can discuss and see what your fav artists set-up is, come on everyone has a different one in one way or another, so come on whats your favourite?

personally i like nick m? from it dies today, its a simple 5 piece but it looks good and is very easy to play.( i set-up my drums like it)

so whats yours?

i like a few, i really like neil peart's red tama set up, a classic, i like the set Taylor Hawkins used on One By One by Foo Fighters, i really dig Portnoy's purple monster, i like Chris Adlers set, looks like fun to play, and i dig Chad Smith's kit, it is nice and tight and amazing

My Favorite Artists SET Up is Buddy Richs 5 iece 2 Floor Toms One Rack ,Thats the way I love set ups, and yet he was amazing with such little amounts, compare that to todays drummers who have like 28 different drums and endless amounts of cymbals to make there stuff sound good, Id say its amazing. But hypocritically my favorite artist is Portnoy haha.

^^ i like your setup in your vid 3min+ solo. i am inspired to setup mine similar. what hats do you have dude? they sound sweeet.

Jezen
12-25-2005, 08:18 PM
They are the Istanbul Agop 13" Sultan hats. I like my setup even more now. Between my 12" tom and my ride, I have added a 10" tom. Yes, the toms are reversed because it's a fun thing to do.

So when you gonna get a new vid of a solo/groove up? I learn alot some how watching you drum. Would like to see your newer setup too. How much did those hats set you back. After my wuhans arrive i may look into some second hats

i like how buddy riches snare was tilted away from him, ive tried it, and its awesome for rolls, but i kept hitting the rim when doing a beat. i love danny careys set up, with all those electric octagon things, i would to goof around on a set like that

Ohh I dunno how much they were. 140 maybe? I think that was from drumshop.co.uk.

They bought an entire shipment and were sellin em real cheap.

I might make another vid very soon. I filmed one (gladstone technique) and I just have to put it on the computer.

Jezen

SkaRabbit
12-25-2005, 08:40 PM

On adc the throne is only £80 you said you had £60? the hat stand is exactly £59 on there. The hat stand is chunky. Very solid.
