Well, for Christmas I got a brand new set of A custom's. It included 13" hats, 16" crash, 20" ride, gig bag and a free 10" splash. Well, in the cymbal department I'm doing fine, but drum kit wise I'm struggling, I could get the mapex M birch kit (http://media.zzounds.com/media/brand,zzounds/mb5255tcy_300-43c6c973fc0e708e702e95bff59bdfe4.jpg) or I could stick with the drum kit I have now, a CODA, I know I know, they are terrible kits, even though I haven't had "too" much expeirence on the drums I would still like having a kit with good hardware and overall quality.

Option one: Get the Mapex M birch kit for $769

Option two: Spend money getting new heads for my CODA and get a new snare along with a pedal.

What would be my best bet or decision?

I will pimp this deal until they run out.

Musicians Friend. Sonor Force 3003. $600 (US)

Do it.

They have a limited amount (some finishes have already ran out.)

I repeat. Do it.

I'm totaly serious, for me it's all about money, since I'm not to familiar with drums. I'm looking to have a playable kit without sacrificing to much money. I've played guitar for quite a while, so I'm fairly new to this. Excuse me this time.
