What a Beautiful Dilema

So, I Recently treated myself to an Ashdown Mag 300, and Mag4x10 and 1x15(I Sent the 15 back)i it came out to be about 700 bucks.

This was my first rig so i didnt want to go crazy with the price, even tho i had the money, i decided to play around, and test many amps, ive been testing amps since about march of this year, so i didnt come to this decision hastily, one of the amps that tickled my fancy was the Ampeg B2-RE, but i didnt want to spend 700+ bucks on a head, seemed pretty crazy, but i did like it better then the Mag.

So im not expecting to get **** this christmas. Im 21, so why would i.

I Wake Up to someone playing my Bass,which was strange because the Ashdown is at our rehersal space..so i come down and see its my dad, Fooling around on a Ampeg B2-RE Head and a Ampeg Classic Series 4x10HE.

Needless to say i was pretty geeked, and im feeling it, its loud, and it gives me more control over my tone, together it was like 1,200 compare that to 700 for my Ashdow, u can see the difference.

So now im really wondering what should i send back... the Ampeg or the Ashdown... with 700 i can get Another Cab for my Rig+ Rackmounted PreAmp, but if i send the Ampeg back i can get a **** load of stuff.... oh... how i love this dilema.

i would totally keep the ampeg and sell the ashdown - im not incredibly keen on ashdown amps and cabs, and whilst ive never played the ampeg, im sure its infintely better than the ashdown

Yeah i cant wait to get my 4x10 Ashdown back... **** it i may go up the street my Drummers house and take his Gailen Kruger 4x10, to see how good this baby can go.

Where can i get a decent rack?
Im going to need one for the Tech 21 SansAmp RBI Bass Preamp( Edgebass insists), and the rackmount tuner i get.

And Yes I am very tight with my money, right now, im looking at a Lakland DJ Signature, a Pedulla Rapture with 2 J Pups, and thinking about Getting a Winters Custom, i prob wont get one until August, im very cautious money wise.

My next amp purchase was going to be an SWR, but i wasnt in a rush to get one, because my teacher lets me Gig with his hartke.

Ive been wanting Lakland for along time...I actually got *** close to the submit button.... when it came to ordering one...but i just couldnt doit... I think if i get my hands on a DJ sig i'll buy it that day.. ive played Osborns and they are awesome, its really a matter of does the DJ play better then the Os... then if it doesnt do i want the Os, or do i want the Rapture.... the DJ was the only thing holding me back from that... I can see myself getting a winters and a Lak or Ped.

Ahh ... well as your money cautious, like myself believe it or not, and you need a decent bass to play through the amp or that would be pointless of having a good amp ... I'm still with my 30W CarlsBro amp and beginner bass & a cheap 5 stringer ... though I have been making myself a 6 string, which is expensive in itself.
