I'm trying to get into surf music more, but all I've heard is Dick Dale. Can anyone recommend some classic surf tunes as well as any new surf artists I should check out. Please don't say the Beach Boys, but I think you already knew that.

There's some sweet surf punk from California, if you're into that. Agent Orange are classic, though perhaps more punk than surf, and Falling Idols have some nice material aswell. A bit newer are The Ziggens, who really pull it off well.

The Ventures are alright too. There's nothing wrong with good ol' Dick Dale though. You could also check out The Reverend Horton Heat. They're more of a gimmicky kinda "psychobilly" band, but they're totally good.
Time-Lapse Consortium had like one surf song too :P
