Get My Snare to Sound Good?

Hi there, I have a 14x5.5" snare. I think its steel shell. Anywho, I am having trouble getting it to sound nice. The sizzle of the snare lasts after the actually tone of the drum if you can understand so its
*snare***sizzzzleeee* Like That and I don't want the continued sizzle.
How can I get rid of extra sizzle?

I did do all of that. I didn't get what I was looking for.

Remo Coated Amb/Remo Clear Diplomat Snare Side.

Or, if you've already got good heads on it, try and get the snare tightness right in the middle between min and max.
