I've been thinking about writing some grind songs, and I need a free drum machine to download.

Anyone have some experience with any or recommendations? Any help is appreciated.

You could always use the free trial of fruity loops, but you can't actually export that... fruity loops has some good drum stuff in it, though.

You could try HammerHead Rhythm Station.

I just tried it and, well... it would work. It's not amazing but it'll get you a beat.

Use the free trial of Fruity Loops, and crack it.

That way, the trial period freezes, and you have a permanent installation of Fruity Loops. I had it once, the Director's Edition or something like that.

Guitar Pro 5 isnt free but it has a real sound engine ! Its so awsome, maybe ill post up some stuff from it. BFD is good but that isnt free and that also has real sounds. The Gameboy Drum Machine sucks so bad, I was checking it out the other day. Theres no cymbals and every drum sounds the same

crazyguy, i can export files on fruityloops. go file>export>wav or mp3. you just can't save what you're working on in the trial version of fruityloops.

and threadstarter, i've only used fruityloops, since it was the first one i used and it did the job for me, i didn't need to look anywhere else. it's very easy to use, too.

get the trial of fruity loops its very useful
anybody who has myspace, can check out what ive done with it at
www.myspace.com/beefcousteau
ive had it for 5 years now
you can export to midi, mp3, or wave
but you cant save the actual project so you have to finish everything at once
and then export to file
it has @ssloads of different drum sounds
