How would you pick this? Straight up alternate picking or a bit of economy? I'm trying to refine my techniques.

Isn't that from an alternate picking exercise?
I'd alt pick it anyway.

Depends on what you're using it for, improving alternate picking, or improveing economy picking.

Well, which one would be quicker in the long run. Which one would be faster?

Whichever one you develop the most...
Spend 6 hours a day on economy and 1 on alt and you're obviously going to be better at economy aren't you.
Use common sense and think, what one do I(meaning you) want to develop more, or even better, equally.

Just alternate pick. In the long run, economy picking isn't that useful anyways.

Yay, first post.
I know what alternate picking is, but what's economy picking?

instead of picking up-down-up-down, it's up-down-down-up.
at least I think that's what it is.
