I posted this in TCT but I think it deserves it's own thread.
It's got a great live music archive (http://www.archive.org/audio/etreelisting-browse.php?collection=etree) including shows by Bill Bragg, Ghost Mice, Mischief Brew, Mike Watt, The Minutemen, The Legendary Shack Shakers, Rosa, Tenacious D, The Dauntless Elite, Spoonboy, Johnny Hobo & The Freight Trains, Hank Williams III, The Decembrists, The Toasters, Two Gallants, One Reason, Camper Van Beethoven, Defiance, Ohio, The Butthole Surfers, This Bike is a Pipe Bomb and many more.
Check it out.

I love archive.org. Aside from live music, they have radio shows and conferences ranging from buddhism to beat poets like Burroughs.

SHN and Flacs. Download foobar2000 to play the lossless files. Essentially, it means there is no compression so the sound quality is as good as it will ever be. Oggs and MP3s have significantly lower quality and it's often negligible, but if it's a punk rock show and it ain't a great recording, why make it worse? You could generally judge which to get flac/shns of and which hi-fi mp3s would suffice for. foobar is my favourite program for playing music. It's simple, versatile, and high quality.

Day-um. I haven't heard of 49/50 of these bands, but whatever. This is really cool.
