My singer is constanly telling me I need to play louder. I told him I don't want to sacrifice my technique in order to play loud. We usually play at places that are average in size for venues, and the amps and PA are turned up VERY loud. Basically, I need some mics. However, I need them as ****ing cheap as possible. I've seen a few sets for around 50 bucks, that's not including the cymbals mics I would need. I heard from a few people I can just get a few cymbal mics and they will pick up the toms well enough for live situations.

Any advice? Like I said I'm on an uber budget since I just bought a new camera.

Can you expand on your uber budget?
How much do you actually have to spend?

I don't have an exact set amount. Just very little. As in the cheaper the better, even if quality needs to be sacrificed.

Uhh...with the proper technique you can get quite a volume.

If you lived in the UK I would point you in the direction of the KAM KDK-5 pack. Two KD-10's, a KD-15, and two pencil condensers.

Oh well.

Only to a certain point. I'm guessing all the amps are being blasted way over the top.

Yeah, but isn't it the problem of the venue that there are no drummics?

If I would buy some mics then it would be for home recording, on stage it's the problem of the venue.

Yes, well considering is less of a venue and more of a place where a bunch of local metal bands come ot play and promote themselves, I can't really blame the venue.
