I was just wondering does that deep roar come naturally or does it have to be practised or is there aspecial technique because id like the singer in my band to be able to do it. Any feedback i tahnk in advance.

Be careful when you scream death metal, though. The rasp can be VERY damaging to the throat.

I'm a death metal vocalist.
I find that the voice comes naturally now, you have to practice a bit first to find a technique that feels comfortable.
A few tips I can give you:
Don't use cough sweets/losenges that numb the throat, because you won't be able to feel if you're damaging your throat (which you don't want to do).
A good thing to drink before doing vocals is thick chocolate milk (Sam from The Berzerker uses this)
You want to do a kind of rounded shape with your mouth for growls.
Inhaled growls are a little more diffilcult to do. I'll record some sound samples tomorrow if I have time.

oh okay, well i was just concerned that you ditched the thread thats all.:thumb: Just pretty much make a sigh that you make when you are mad/had a rough day. that hhhgh sigh. Then pretty much push harder and change the shape of your mouth. but be careful!1
