Hey, I usually hang around the bass forums, but I am venturing outside :lol:

Anyway, I was talking about HWM today, and someone said they are broken up?

True/false/any information?

This is a great band. I used to listen to them in 5th/6th grade. I am not sure if they broke up or not. It would be a shame if they did, though.

I think they are still together, there is a tour date on their site.

They are indeed a very awesome band. Is the split that they did with Alkaline Trio worth getting?

I don't think that they broke up.

I know that one of the band members got into an accident which caused them to take a break or whatever.

Great band. Right now they are on a hiatus because Chuck wanted to spend time with his family. The other members play in a band call the The Draft. Heres their myspace if anyone wants to listen to them http://www.myspace.com/thedraftmusic To Lazybassplr56 if you're a fan of both bands then I'd say the split is worth getting.

I know the HWM versions of TAT songs are very good, especially radio

I saw them live w/ Flogging Molly and i didnt like them at all. They were boring, idk.... couldnt get into them. And they got all pissed off when someone yelled something along the lines of "You Suck!" and they started freaking out like a bunch of assholes. Someone yelled the same thing at the band before and the guy was just like, "Don't say that, your mom wont buy you another shirt at Hot Topic." And of cousre everyone went "OH SHIAT!" It wasnt that great of a comeback, but at least he wasnt a little bitch about it.

Maybe if I heard them again, i will change my tune.

I don't listen to them very often, but they're a pretty good band.

I don't remember where, but I think I heard somewhere that they could possibly be releasing a new album at some point.

I liked all the songs I heard by them but when I downloaded an album, I couldn't really get into it.

It's very hard to listen to HWM for me. It makes me reflect on so many things I did in the past. They are such a solid band though, from what I remember.

The nostalgia I get is just too tough.

I've seen a Wilhelm Scream at warped tour 2005....they were great

then they played some smackin' isiah songs....and curtiss lopez (new bassist) had no clue what to do.

Why do people compare AWS and HWM...

please tell me it's not because their acronyms both have a W in the middle...

Because, I only listened to HWM for a short time before getting bored, but from what I remember they aren't anything like AWS.

i love hot water music , I have almost all of their cds and every one i have is great . and ya their releasing a new cd on No Idea called something like "Till the wheels fall off" in March i think, its on no idea's site. I'm guessing it will be B-sides and i think they released a vinyl with some cover songs i have a few of them but not sure if thats whats actually gonna be on there.
