james is a real nice guy ay? i hanged out with him ( and daryl somers that seexy beast) at generations in jazz in mt gambier earlier this year... our band won, so we were worthy of it.

myself, im more into his smaller combos, with just him leading being backed by a rhythm section.

traveller, where are you from?

In my local area, the jazz and funk following is increasing but there still isnt much here:upset: But in Perth, there is an ok sort of scene, i wouldnt know what its like in other states though. Perth has an annual jazz camp in the middle of the year, which is cool. what is the scene like for you guys? I'd say a whole lot better han it is for me.

we've got a great jazz scene in adelaide. There's quite a strong support for jazz in south australia!! Our biggest event was the jazz festival, with Chico freeman coming in from New York to play!!! ONe of our regular's is morrison but we've got a pretty good net of local musicians as well.
