First off, let me let everyone reading this know that I am not a guitarist of any sort, I just enjoy messing around with a guitar in my spare time. I am a percussionist at heart and am quite an accomplished one at that. With that said, let me get to the real story:

A while back I was messing around with my guitar, tightening various things and such (the knobs were extremely loose and not staying on or...whatever, that's a whole other story) and I decided to mess with my bridge a little. Now, as I'm sure most guitars are, the little string holding thingies in the bridge that can move forward and backwards in the bridge piece itself are staggered. Having very little knowledge of how this things affect the sound or action of the strings, I decided to mess around with these little things. After messing with them for a little while, I decided to move them all to one side of the bridge and that is where they are right now. They are all at one side of the bridge and I have horrible fret buzz on all strings and almost all of the strings sound dead. I do not know exactly where these things should be in the bridge and I was wondering if anyone knows of a website that can explain to me how to fix my bridge back to where the strings sing again. Or, if anyone is willing explain this to me, your help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You are talking about bridge saddles. They control you're intonation, do not mess with them.
To sort your problem:
On each string, play string open, make sure it's in perfect tune. Then play the 12th fret(the same note as the open, just an octave higher) and adjust the saddle until it is the same note as the open string, in perfect tune, like the open string. Do this on each string.

But I can hardly get a clean note from any of the strings except maybe the low E. And how am I supposed to adjust the "saddles" with the strings in the way, because they are.

Take your guitar into a shop and get it set up.

You could just cut your strings off or tune down until they are very loose and flexible, then just move the string out of the way and do your work.
