'Sup y'all?

I've got a new song posted. It's called Las Cruces. Please take a listen:

Please give me your honest opinions. If it's crap, say so...you won't hurt my feelings. Thanks.

EDIT: FYI: All the instruments are real, except the drums, which were programmed because I only have one mic and I didn't really want to go for the "bonham" sound. I'll record real drums if I ever get a drum mic kit and a mixer.

pretty good songs. City Lights reminded me of 13 Stitches by NoFX. and on Las Cruces if you raise the vocals up a little bit it would sound a lot better. also you should make ur profile look cool.

I liked both songs quite a lot. The vocals were pretty weird, but in a good way which I liked. The drums sounded un-produced and in my face, which was a pleasant change from most music. The bass lines made me smile, and the guitar tones were VERY nice. Especially the shimmery ones.

the vocals were a refreshing change from the normal nasally stuff I hear on emo, I agree that on las cruces they could be a bit louder. guitars had some good tone, but the drum track was a bit clicky (I realize a sideeffect of using a drumkit, but maybe lower the volume just a bit)
sounfs good, I was expecting something a lot more self-pitying lol. Maybe call yourselves a different genre? The songs weren't incredibly emo and if you just called youreselves punk then you could avoid the pre-conceived notions people have when they hear *emo*

Las Cruces:

Good Song. I like the way it flows. I especially like the guitar, its really fluid. The only thing I would change is to turn the bass down and the guitar up in the mix. That would make the vocals stand out more also.

Seems like a well produced recording but the vocals were a little odd to me, in a monotone kinda way. It seems like with the addition of some punch in the vocals it would be a cool acoustic/mello rock tune.

Thanks to everyone who listened and/or commented. It has been very helpful. I'll try and mix this one again in the next day or two. :thumb:
