Folk singer around the same time as Dylan, was always compared to Dylan but always came second to him. He has a really good singing voice compared to Dylan's and personally I prefer him. He called himself a topical singer and singing journalist. He wrote really good protest songs and is quite enjoyable. He also committed suicide in 1976 due to depression, alcoholism, and writer's block. One of his songs was covered by Jello Biafra and Mojo Nixon, Love Me, I'm a Liberal, and he is quoted by the hardcore-punk band Good Clean Fun.
