let's take for example the major scale of C. CDEFGABC.
C is called the root and the consequent notes are intervals from 2 to 8(returning to the root.) [Please notice I'm not going into detail, just giving a basic overview of theory for the user].
For that scale to become a RELATIVE(natural) minor, you would have to transpose it three semitones down. So C major is actually A Minor.
For the major scale to become a harmonic minor, you would have to transpose the 3 and 6 interval a half step.
For melodic minor, raise 6 and 7 a half step in the ascending movement up the scale. For the descent revert back to natural minor.
For scales starting on other notes other than C, you have to know the basic major scale construction (The circle of fifths and others) that will allow you to create major scales... and then revert to any of the three minor modes.

The easiest way is to know the major scales, then think of the minor scales as relative minors.
You can use the, W-H-W-W-H-W-W formula.
W--H---W--W---H---W--W
A---B---C---D---E---F---G---A= A MINOR
.....
The relative minor is simply the same notes starting on the 6th degree of the parent major scale, for example:
C D E F G A B C = C MAJOR
..............A B C D E F G A= A MINOR
Flat and Sharp keys aren't necessarly the same thing, unless they are enharmonic equivelents.
For example:
F# major, and Gb Major are the same, the notes have just been assigned different names.

Here's the list of modes and the formulas that go with them.
Start at the root note and then go as many steps from that note as it tells you.
W= whole step H=half step.
MODES
W W H W W W H – Ionian (Major)
W H W W W H W – Dorian
H W W W H W W - Phrygian
W W W H W W H - Lydian
W W H W W H W - Mixolydian
W H W W H W W – Aeolian (Minor)
H W W H W W W - Locrian

Hmm, no one actually answered his questions for him, :p.
A = A B C D E F G(#) A
B = B C# D E F# G A(#) B
C = C D Eb F G Ab Bb(B) C
D = D E F G A Bb C(#) D
E = E F# G A B C D(#) E
F = F G Ab Bb C Db Eb(E) F
G = G A Bb C D Eb F(#) G
And no, there are differences between flat keys and sharp keys.
