Cakewalk Sonar 4 Producer Edition

Hi, i recently acquired Cakewalk Sonar 4 Producer edition but am having trouble with the following;

This message comes up ever time the program starts.

And when i goto choose midi devices this pops up:

I select Microsoft MIDI mapper and click OK - then first box comes up again.

I goto sound options and the Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth is there

should that be in the in the Sonar 4 options under output when i goto select midi devices?

I am very new to the software and sorry for the n00b question, but it's causing me havoc.

The biggest question is, are you using any midi, or do you plan on using midi? If you don't plan on using it, you can just click on "continue with no midi". If you don't have a midi interface, you'll never be able to select an input anyway.

i dont want a midi input, i want output. Does groove agent 2 use MIDI?

Windows does have it's own midi outputs (which you setup already). To be honest I've never used Groove Agent 2 though, so I can't help you there, check the website or manual perhaphs?
