ok since there ain't much emo goin round these parts, i'd figure i could introduce a bunch of smaller emo bands that few have heard of

we all know
- pageninety nine
- saetia
- funeral diner
- city of caterpillar
- circle takes the square
yada yada yada

here's some less well-known bands from da hood

My Khayembii Communique thread made it to like... page 2. Shame on all of you.

Breakwater, Sharazad, Frail, Rockets and Blue Lights, and Bob Tilton are bands all of you need to listen to. Right now.

I have mp3's on aim if anyone's interested.

Danse Macabre (Germans, I think..)
The Avenging Disco Godfathers Of Soul
Dodewaard
Shikari

May I ask how you found of these people?

They aren't emo, by the way. They consider themselves skramz. (Yeah, he accepts that screamo should now be called skramz. :/ ) I talk to Donny Moore (vocalist) on AIM like everyday, he's a friend of mine.

Their EP just got finished and now they're waiting for the art work to come back... then they'll release it. So, if anyone like SDRP. Buy the EP. :)

Skramz is what people are calling screamo nowadays. I know, it's really ****ing dumb. Apparently, they're calling everything skramz so people don't get everything mixed up with what the uneducated call screamo.

Apparently one of the members of Nation of Ulysses is in this "death metal" band I think it was.
Something to do with metal and punk.
They're playing a bunch of shows around here in NYC.

I didn't know this, but they were known for wearing suits.

The skramz thing... eh. I don't understand how some people are accepting it. I was talking to Donny and he said that people around his area thing screamo is Silverstein so he just uses skramz so screamo and crap don't get confused and such.
