I recently got a very bizarre looking bass, i took some pics but they are really bad quality. It looks like the body of a guitar, it is small and has a toggle switch but has bass neck, head and badly stuck on bridge. Anyway it is cheap and crappy so i figure i'm gonna turn it into a 2 string bass and actually make it it look like there's supposed to by 2strings only.
So what tuning are 2 string bass usually?
and is there anything i should adjust apart from the number of strings?

You can get EVERY note on a normal 4 string.

is there anyway you can close up on the bridge right now?
it looks as if someone taken a standard one and ripped out two of the portions...especially with there being four tuners...

it looks like it is made for 4 strings...how each one extends out extremely far...

the bridge looks like it's been added on, it's at a wonky angle and there are old screw holes around it
Look at the angle to the pick up and the holes either side

that's a old school two saddles bridge.. used in the 51 precision bass for instance.. it's four string with out a doubt.. and the holes around the bridge is from and old pickup cover or an ashtray as you might call it..

You can get EVERY note on a normal 4 string.
Itd be hard to play though. If you tried to make it sound normal and not have super harsh changes from low pitched to high pitched notes, youd have to play the top string near the body and then if you were going to use the G string youd have to go all the way up the fret board into the first couple of frets.
