Nothing special. Especially Zender, who is terribly overrated.

I say he gets about the right amount of recognition. Hes pretty good and can groove (IMO).

Speaking of which, does Zender get on these forums? I haven't seen him since I left back in april of '04.

His lines might not be hard but they certainly have a large amount of groove to them.

Turn your speakers on if they aren't already, and go here: http://www.jamiroquai.com/

The first sample that plays; (Don't) Give Hate a Chance, you can't say that bass line isn't pure, unadulterated funk! :thumb:

I don't think it's Stuart though... I think they have a new bassist for Dynamite. When I've seen performing, it wasn't Zender. I don't know the new guy's name though, plus, unlike Zender, he doesn't play Warwicks. :smash:

Edit: Dynamite's on my Christmas list! :p

The old new guy, Nick, used Zon's and jazz basses.

Indeed, they're a superb band. Even better live though, some of the stuff the bassist did was just incredible, yet so groovy it's unreal...

jamiroquai is a great band. I love zender's basslines on the "space cowboy album." Space cowboy, emergency on planet earth, traveling without moving has zender playing bass on them. THere is one more but i don't own it, and i forget the name. the new guy is alright too.

I wouldn't recomend it unless you're buying it to complete a collection. It's just like another one of his albums sans the stand out tracks (corner of the earth, virtual insanity, cosmic girl etc.)

Buy it if you're curious, just don't expect the standard of his other albums

It will be my first Jamiroquai album, but I was also considering Return of the Space Cowboy or Travelling Without Moving, but I got scared, and changed my mind. :p

The tracks I've heard from Dynamite; Seven Days in Sunny June, (Don't) Give Hate a Chance and Feels Like It Should, I liked, but I might reconsider.

Is Deeper Underground on any of their albums, or just the Godzilla soundtrack?

not too sure.

I'm not sure if you should start out with Dynamite though. I've heard good things about space cowboy, but then again travveling without moving has absolute gems like virtual insanity and cosmic girl. It also has a couple songs like didjital vibrations, which is completely instrumental and just so stylish.

sorry if i'm not being too helpful and just confusing your choice :P

Dynamite is good, I have it. I don't own any other entire albums, but this one's pretty ****in sweet. There's something good in every song, although I admit there are some fillers.

There's also some repititions that make you wonder what the producer was thinking.

Deeper underground was a bonus track on Synkronised. it is so much fun to groove along to with a bit o bass synth.
