actually which one is better for heavy metal?? its a Mapex and Tama Superstar

But for looks i'd go for the second one because it suits how I play much better.

What are you upgrading from? In all honesty I'd save up more and get something a little better. That Mapex set is actually their beginner line and I'd just skip the Superstars in general, but that's just me.

Yes, the pro-m is a good intermediate set. That or the sonor 3005 are really good. Nice finishes, full maple shells and great hardware.

I'd save and get something better also. But strictly out of those two, go with the superstar.

I own a Pro-M. They are FANTASTIC drums. If you can afford a set, I'd definitely suggest them :thumb:

there's a deal running through the end of this year where you can buy a 6-pc mapex m birch for 750... i recently bought that set (with an added floor tom) and i can honestly say it is probably the best set i have ever played on.
