"Not many marks on it for being 5 years old."
Except for the fact that you colored on it with marker.

cute.
If it was $450 I'd buy it and just go back over it in all solid black or something.
Looks like somebody's tryin to be Mr. Carey or believed too much into the "magical symbols" thing (Yes, Symbols. :P)

TGP is right the colours won't do anything to the sound. It would work fine for a late night practice kit.

the fact of the matter is, i mean some electric sets out now are decent but in my oppinion most still suck, so one that is older than 4 years old like that in is probably going to sound like complete crap... but that's just my opinion

/\/\ thank you, i think the only good electric drum is one used as an addon to an acoustic, electric drums blow big time,(but htey are fun when you put on traffic news and just blaze around as fast as you can...)
but i guess if you don't have an other options (neighbords/parents complain) i guess it's ok to go witht hem cuz they're better than no set.

It's only cosmetic, so it's not that big an issue. Plus, if it bothered you that much, theyre rubber pads, and im sure you could get it off without too much trouble. Plus it will make less people bid on it, I'm sure you can get it pretty cheap that way.

Yah, they are great to add on a bit to an accoustic set, or if you have to practise quietly, but I love accoustic sets.

At some point I'm going to get a relatively cheap electric kit and add it to my acoustic one (after I get a better acoustic one). The only real reason to do that is for effects (which would be crazy fun).

i was considering getting something simarl for double the price... it would stay in my room for when i didnt want to go downstairs to play on my kit... but i deffinitly like the mesh heads wayyy better. Rubber just doesnt have that realistic feel.

a friend of mine just sold a DTX 2.0 in worse shape than that one for over $700 on ebay. i couldn't believe he got that much for it, especially since you can get a brand new dtxplorer for about $850.

retro:lol: that's already a dead link
as for the electric kit in question at the beginning of the thread, if i had the money, then i don't see why i wouldn't get that kit, because i use an acoustic for playing in my band/practicing in the day etc. but i could use that at night just for a mess around. I think it's just under £300 over here, being 14 years old, that's not exactly paper-round money

Id only buy another electric if it was roland, I bought a yamaha one and it sucks but luckily I have an acoustic to play on for the meant time

That guy relisted it and it sold by buy-it-now for $625 + $75 shipping USD. Even since it has all those marks on it was that a good deal for that kit?

i don't think it was all that great a deal. the dtx 2.0 was a fairly high end kit in its day, but the newer kits have more features and better sounds. the technology has advanced.
