new thumb - question

Hey guys, I my thumb 4 NT just arrived (!) I was wondering what the best settings for slap would be, because i hear these are somewhat known for there sound when slapping...aside from the "smile" EQ what else should i try...by the way this bass is amazing (i know u probably wanna see pics but i dont have a digital camera or any of that stuff)

I've never played one, but just try out different things, find out what does and doesn't sound good to you. Just experiment.

the smile eq is scooped mids right? Try adding some mids, even boosting them, that's what I do and I can get a decent tone

i've usually got my bass up quiet a bit... what ever bass is, i 1/2 the low mid's... cut high mid's... and then boost treble just a bit (Depending on what im goin for)
