What albums are you looking for to next year? Personally I can't wait for the new Dead Pets album, Good Clean Fun - Between a Christian Rock and a Hard Place and Lifetime - Somewhere in the Swamps of Jersey.
I'm pretty sure there's also new Bigwig, NOFX, Lawrence Arms, Bad Religion, US Bombs and Bracket albums that are slated to come out next year. I may check them out if I hear good things.

The Good Clean Fun one should rule judging by the songs on their Myspace page.
I've seen the Dead Pets play "Reprogrammed" which is supposed to be on the new album and it's brilliant.

On their website it says they've been working on some new songs (I've only heard one of which live that was great) and they'll have a new album out in early 2006.

Yeah i read that the other day. I've been listening to Stay Asleep a lot recently.
I do think i remember people from BR saying they were writing new stuff, but if it is a live album i won't be disappointed. They're one of the best live acts ever.

I read the LTJ was going to be more ska-ry. There's nothing that could be poppier than their last pile of wank.
And i completely forgot about Rancid, they still said they'd try and release something this year despite Matt's illness. I hope they do, and i hope it's better than Indestructable.

It's their first "album", but I've e-mailed them and they said that they don't plan to release that ever, because if people want it they can find it easily enough.
I have two new songs recorded, but are live bootlegs that they're supposed to be recording if anyone wants them btw, and one song that is old called "Nothing You Begin".

It will be interesting to see what Rancid's new album will sound like. Almost all of Rancid's albums have a different sound to them like lets go is 100% punk, and out come the wolves is some ska some punk, life wont wait has a mostly ska sound, and with rancid 2000 they go with a faster, more hardcore, more screaming sound.
what will their album in 2006 sound like?

Hmm I never saw much wrong with anti-flag...
If there's one thing Anti-Flag know it's that politics sells. Well, that's if you can call taking a concept that is generally acknowledged as a bad idea (police brutality, racism etc) and inserting the word "****" in front of it politics. With their whiny vocals, stupidly sloganeering lyrics and boring music Anti-Flag fight the power harder than Malcolm X and Martin Luther King combined. Coming from that most oppressed of social groups, middle-class white guys, there are three things that Anti-Flag hate more than anything else: corporations, war, and the government. They are also on a major record label owned by a multi-national corporation that profits from war due to it's links with the government.

I think the new NOFX is gonna be good. It'll have to be better than War on Errorism. I didn't know Bad Religion was putting one out, but that's also good, I just hope it's more like Process of Belief and less like Empire Strikes First. I'm worried the new AFI is gonna suck...like worse than Sing the Sorrow. Weird how that's three bands who are on my top ten list whose latest album I didn't much care for.
Other than that, it's looking like a solid year.

a new rise against album should be good, same for bad religion, NOFX and strike anywhere. too bad A Wilhelm Scream released Ruiner just this year. we'll probably have to wait untill '07 before the next one

That would be total awesome-ness, but they released one last year and toured most of it after, so they might need a bit of time to come up with some more decent and hopefully more original stuff, too. Perhaps the end of this year?
