Band : Distance (originally called Protein). A band consisting of 16 yr old guys.
Anyway this is a song that the guitarist and I (vocalist) wrote together . I only have this acoustic short version uploaded (not that good quality either), but anyways tell us what you think. Thanks.

Hm.. Pity about the quality - it's an ok song, though it does need a little work, especially the part after, I think it's a chorus, where it goes from struming back to the original stuff it sounds off.
Vocal part.. Open your mouth as wide as you can when you sing. You have a nice voice, especially if you're 16, but it sounds like you got ducttape over the place where the sound was supossed to come from and it's a real pity, 'cause as I said.. You have a great voice. (Also, the quality of the track may play a major part here aswell)
The talking part stuff in the song sounded wrong, but could imagine it sounding better if the music wasn't accoustic.

Thanks for the advice... yeah I know the song has a few mistakes vocally and musically....but we're gunna record a new one soon with some decent equipment.

Hey, I dig the song but have a few critiques. First you probably know you have to do something about the quality. A good recording and going over it with a fine tooth comb to make it perfect will do wonders. Also maybe throw a chorus effect over the guitar, that would definitely add something to the song. If you could give me a crit back at either luv pump or away. Thanks. We really need to get more people critting on here than posting.

Just have to let out a little steam here.. Not about what you said, but what it made me think of..
Why is it the music equipment must cost SO much!? I can understand that a guitar, bass, drums, piano - well an instrument cost a lot of cash sometimes, as most of these are handbuilt.
But basic equipment like a microphone, a mixer, an amp.. You get my drift.. Why does it cost so much? It is all able to be done at an assembly line, and most of it probably is, and the items within in and the built cost are WAY lower per item than what it is sold for..
Just had to let it out. :p
But anyhow - I'll be looking foward to hearing the tune again when it has been revamped with some better equipment. :)

Yeah I know what you mean...but we're gonna record it for free (hopefully), just borrow the equipment. :) And you'll be the first one to hear (if you make it to the forum in time :P ) when it's posted.
Cheers! :chug:

Its cohesive and sounds pretty solid. The vocals are a bit on the annoying side but the vocal melodies are pleasing. The talking part is a good idea but not executed too well. More switch ups in tone could also do it good but thats just me talking.

Yeah, the talking part kills some of it. The part where it goes from strumming to picking needs some work. Also better quality, but good song, your deep voice fits it.

Yeah I know what you mean by annoying. I don't really sound like that (we had to keep it low that day) but anyway I can do it better, we're gunna do a better longer version on wednesday with some good recording equipment. I'll post it here when it's done.
Thanks again for all your crits, you've been really helpful. :)
