New Direction
What do you mean it's time, time for me to grow up? I don't want any part. It's right to follow my heart. The new kids ran, ran ou tht back door fast, and the bands that came before they had their noses in the air. Pretending that they care about our scene just because our money's green. I'll tell you stage dives make me feel more alive than coded messages in slowed down songs.
Now you're so ashamed, now I'm so ashamed of you. We believe the same things. You stand to the side. Rebirth of hardcore pride. It all came true, too bad you can't see all the good things that I see.
Back in, back in the days when I'd wait to see the old bands play. It didn't seem like wasted days. I was so sincere, but now I see more clearly. Music's only work to them. It's not to me. So I say hats off to bands that change. Good luck, go your own way. Why play for us if your heart's not in it? Cause what might seem dumb to you is pounding in my heart.
Now you're so ashamed, now you're so ashamed of you. We believe the same things. You stand to the side. Rebirth of hardcore pride. It all came true. Too bad you can't see. No, you just can't ****ing see it.
Now you just turn your back. You said I don't want it anymore. Old friends you attack. Our pain out of touch. You don't get it do you? New stage, new ideas. You don't have to make excuses for us. Sitting there looking back, I'm scared. Don't spoil memories of the way things were

You know, GB kinda copied Start Today from Good Clean Fun's On The Street Saving The Scene From The Forces Of Evil. Listen to them both and you'll notice some similarities.

Umm...
Are you dumb?
It was the other way around.
And if you're as attentive as you try to sound, you'll notice that GCF spoofs tons of hardcore bands left and right.

Good clean fun admits it though and it's all in good fun. I know they've done - Refused, GB, phil ochs, etc.

Good. I have a video of it, the show is terrible. Although, the only footage I have ever been able to find of them.... but still.
They open with "New Direction", and the guitarist f'ucks up the opening notes.

Champion cover a different band like every few months. Not that I have a problem with that. They covered Chain of Strength last time I saw them.
Mannik

Yeah IA covered Chain of Strength, I forget which song though. But get this, after Betrayed's set, they announced that tomorrow(today) there would be another Sydney show in a venue that could only hold 70 people, and that there would be a surprise band playing. Anyway, as we were waiting in line to get our tickets, one of my friends asked Iran from Champion and Betrayed who the surprise band were, and he said that Last Nerve, a completely awesome local band who split earlier this year were going to play, and that also, Carry On were going to have a have off reunion. Carry On!
Anyway, after I'd waited in line for 10-15 minutes, we got told the tickets had all been sold and that even 70 people was pushing the maximum hold of the venue, so there was no way I'd be able to go. Big bummer.

GB are hardcore-punk, they could technically go in either forum, the same with Minor Threat, DK, and other hardcore-punk bands.

They came back together and are recording a new album for next year.
