i was wondering if anyone knew how to maybe make a grip on a guitar pick using different methods. ive tried many different brands of grip guitar picks and none seem to work for me. i need a grip that will stay put for when i do some wicked fast STRUMMING...i cant hold the pick tight cuz i strum very quickly with an open palm, but the problem with that is obivously im holding it more losely....so yeah. the pick turns and twists and falls out of my hand quite often. yeah os basically, i need a SUPER GRIP lol. thanks all.

take a pair of pliars and squeeze the hell outa the part you hold... it'll put grooves on it..

or just buy decent picks..

In case anyone suggests scoring it with a razor blade, it's a really stupid idea (it'll slip too easily - too easy to cut a massive gash in your hand).

You could stick some grip tape (the stuff they use on skateboard decks) on the section you hold it with, or sandpaper. With sandpaper you can try various grades - 0000 is going to be way too fine though.

They make a pick that has a star shaped hole in it that helps with grip. I'm not sure what it's called though.

I use some picks called "Brain" super grippy even if you hold your pick loose

what happens if you just put a tiny bit of double stick tape on it..
it'll stick to your fingers when you're playing..
eventually...it'll fall off, but the sticky stuff might linger?

Taking a knife with small grooves/teeth on the blade and just cutting all over each side works pretty well. It basically just turns it into some sort of sandpaper-like grip. Works really well.

either... hold your plectrum right.. ooorr stick salotape to the bit that you hold, then lick it loads and the top bit of salotape should come off leaving a double sided sticky?

Use thinner picks, they bend more so when you grip it hard it becomes
more rigid, and as it's bent slightly more grippy. Not the best idea but
the easiest.

Have u tried sticking Sand paper to it? so ur fingers grip onto the sand paper ive seen some guitar picks like that

Or u could try scratching the hell out of it with sand paper

Use a thinner pick for fast strumming.

Dunlop tortex - got some dusty **** on the plecs and they just never come out of your hands, even if most of the dust has come off.

i hate thinner picks

they last about a week for me before they r too bent to be played with and when u play fast it makes u play sloppy with them

This is probably a weird tip, but I am being honest.

If I can't hold it, I lick it :D

Kinda like spitting in your hands to get a grip on an axe :D

I knew you'd get weirded out (but I bet I'm not alone in this one ;) )
