Okay my friend and I have been having some jams for about 2 months now. I wrote 2 songs without lyrics. He plays bass I play guitar. I found a band near by that isn't looking for anybody else in their band, but its just 2 guys who play drums and guitar. The guitarists sings. They offered to play a house show with us and I agreed. Then I asked if they would want us to play bass in their band, and then they play bass in our band. Well I got to think about it, and if I just played along with them and did some lead stuff while the guitarist/ singer did the easier stuff then it could sound really well. Then it came to my friend and I that we should just join bands together. So how do you think I should ask the other band? As you can tell I am working my way to it by asking them if they needed anyone to play bass. Then I could just show up and do some lead stuff and they could be all like, "Hey play this.", "oh that sounds cool", etc and we would eventually just join in. So how should I go about doing this?
