I think I'm just gonna get a metronome. I need one to carry around, it's kind of inconvenient to use the one on my multi-effects pedal. I also might get an MP3 player, maybe an ipod.

What do you guys think of Behringer amps I've herd people say they are hit or miss what do you guys think of them?

you basically summed it up. They're great amps when you don't get a lemon, but it is a high lemon:good ratio.
EDIT: oh yeah. I'm getting a transpodder(ipod product) so i can use my ipod in my car, and a couple of instructional books: How to build a better walking bass line, and a couple of improv books.

So slapping and popping and fingerpicking prefers the company of men(if those three techniques are guys i mean)? They like to fudgepack and play with balls? I was unaware that slapping popping and fingerpicking could do that. I thought you just applied those techniques to playing bass, not man sex.

dude man, i was joking
what i meant was, that now that i have a better bass, i should now start playing more than just punk and metal and rooting and stuff. when my dad gave it to me, he said that he wants me to be serious and wants me to start taking lessons, instead of just learning punk tabs. i mean, i love listening to jaco, and wooten, but i could never learn to play stuff like that when all i can play is punk. punk rocks, but how many punk players can play like jean baudin, or sade?

Yeah mine had it too when i played it at the store.
But I asked the shop guy about it and he took the bass to the back room for like 10 mins and then came back with it perfect. Guess he turned the truss rod or just raised the bridge a bit, i don't know. Anyway I haven't needed to touch it since! Intonation is still perfect! and that was like 1 year 3 months ago.

baritone ukulele
alright now i dont know much at all about them but wouldnt that be something closer to a shortscale acoustic guitar?
Yes and no. Baritone ukes are the bottom 4-strings of a nylon-string guitar, except they are like a foot long and sound cooler.
