I had an absolute shocker of a day today. As said just one of those that if anything could go wrong it did go wrong and then things i id did not even know existed went wrong.

Anyway my point behind all of this what has been your worse day in terms of being a bassist, be it messing up horrifically at a gig or just general bass shenanigins.

For me it would have to be the day my playing went out the window and i smacked myself in the face 3 time with my bass.

My playing went totally out of the window this week, but I feel good about it again now.

Uhhm, so I kinda know where you're coming from.

my worst time period.... well, hahaha my first show with my newest band (At the time)... The night before, big argument with our rythem guitarist.... then, he trips over my cord and rips out the input socket... i made him buy me solder and i went to fix it, lost the screws to hold it in, then i got screws too big and had it worried me (possible cracking of wood?)... then, the next day (day of show) we were running late and were the opening band... got a little lost on the way there... started raining while bringing stuff inside and we all got soaked + equipment becuase it was a bar in the city with no parking lot's near by.. then, on stage, our rythem guitartist forgot his solo for our opening song... 1/2 way through our set, i go over to talk on the mic and all of a sudden everyone starts laughing?... im kinda confused and then i hear "uh.. Josh... your input jack.. is um.... gone..." i turn around, and there my inputjack is, laying on the floor.... the screws had fallen out i guess? and the weight of the cable ripped my jack away from the wiring.... THEN i was FORCED to use a fender jazz because all the bands playing with us, all had a fender jazz.... i HATE fender jazzes... (well, 90% of them... im real picky on them for some reason. sometimes they just feel so wrong to me)

That same night, the girl i had been dating for a year + decides to tell me she cheated on me, with another girl, that was pretty much my sworn enemy... and i dropped my peavey TKO 115 on me in the rain after the show...

...and it was 3 days after my b-day :upset:

that was a terrible time period...

I literally went out the window this week, but i feel better about it now except for the sprained wrist :(

Got plastered. Thought climbing out of window was funny. Fell. Short story.

When I was really egotistical I thought I was THE best. I went around telling everyone yeah, I'm a badass, I don't mean to brag though, but hey I am. After a while, my friend helped me make a video and posted it in here. It was not even coherent, and lacked any musicianship whatsoever, but at the time, it was badass. Then you guys pizzowned on me (my old s/n was Doomsday AcidTrip or something). If any of you remember that...I'm sorry and sad that you do. (it's not my fault though, my first band made me think I was a badass, just a bunch of idiot numetal "stoners")
______
When I tried to fix my input jack and screwed it in too far, screwing it up further.
______
The worst thing though, is when I play with someone, jamming or whatever, I always forget what I can do. They'll ask if I know a song and I'll be like "no" and then later I'll remember I did know it, and I get frustrated at myself. Or when I mess up horribly bad during practice and get into my stages of really bad timing, (which I get over pretty fast).
