Just a few minutes ago i was playing my bass in my SWR workingman's 10 combo at about half volume. Then the amp started making a wierd hiss noise. Im used to this happening cause my cords suck, so i took out the cord to look at it. when i unplug stuff i put it at the lowest volume cause the hiss annoys me when u plug in a cord, so when i pluged in the cord (at 0 volume) a huge, freakishly loud hiss came out of my amp. i unpluged the cord and the hiss didnt stop, so i turned off the amp and unpluged it. What happened to my amp!

Sounds to me like you've gone and janked the input all up trying to save a $10 cable.

when you tilt the amp to either side does it sound like something is rolling around in there? did you drop it at all?
