Recording Group Vocals... ohhhhh's

Hey tonight im gonna be recording a punk/alt rock band that has a couple of influences such as rancid. In parts of about 4 of there songs they all shout out Hey, Hey, Hey and so on. What i thought about doing was Giving each 5 guys a shure 58 and put 2 condensors in the room for a stereo effect. Anyone else have any ideas to do this? I was never really sure how they did vocals like this.

yea my band is gona be recording in about 3 weeks and i got the same question cause i got this part in one of our songs were i want like 5 or 6 people saying the words to the song with us

you might jsut wanna overdub them all around a condensor; Though i really have nooo idea. Thats jsut a shot in the dark.
