Specs on request. This is from todays jam, its a little repeditve and more than 5 minutes long, the grooves are mostly funk/grace ghost note centers. No excuses but im not sayin its awsome. Enjoy!:thumb:

:chug:
k, i figured id edit this with more information.
Cymbal setup:
14in Custom Dark K hats.
16in AAX stage crash
18in A custom crash
22in Z custom ride
6 in (personally hammered) *cough* zxt titanium *cough* splash
The drums have specs in this thread :http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=417174
The mics are all shure, the toms are sm57's and so is the snare, the bass is pg58 and then theres 2 overheads for the cymbals they are sm81's. The mixer is a yamaha. We use cakewalk for recording/editing purposes. Its a little choppy but it does the job letting you know how the drums sound.
As far as i go, ive been playing for about 3 years seriously now, i am 16 (turn 17 in late july) play lead trap set in jazz band, drumline section leader as of finish this year/marching season next year. I also play about 2 hours after school with my band the Blind Fighter Pilots. Hopefully ill get lots of kickin audio from the band to you! (yes, we have a REAL singer its not screamo)
thanks for listenin.

thanks. anything big i should work on?
I was feelin kinda lazy that day and played lots of the same groove over and over.... thats kinda a problem i have, repeating stuff when im not jamming with other people. Later i think im going to re-eq the toms to make em sound a little differnent.

I didn't like the highest pitched tom but I was diggin that bass drum, a real good thump, some of the floor toms were great too

Cymbals sounded great, as did the floor toms. Snare sounded ok... But I think you need to fiddle a little more with the bass drum mic.
Great playing tho.

drums sound awesome. judging by the title the drums are saturns?
Loyton

Yea saturns. The snare is a pearl steel shell. Im gonna tweak the high toms some more, as like BB said the bass just a little. A little more muffling mabye. Ill see.
Only 10 relplies and almost 200 views? *cry

That sounds great man, your playing also. Just work on your kick drum sound, it has zero low end. Mess with the eq and mic placing a bit, see what you can do. I really like the tom and snare sound. Also, your funk grooves are sweet.

****ing love the highest tom. Not quite a fan of the lowest or your bass sound, bass needs a little more oomph.

Thanks everyone. Im kinda confused about the high tom though, about half the people LOVE the sound and about half HATE it. Then its agreed that the bass needs a little work, and im pry gonna leave the lows where they are at. Just kinda strange the difference in opinions.
Thanks for the compliments to.
