What do ya'll think about the Pacific B.O.A.? M.D. mag did a review on it and it seems kinda like a gimmick. Lemme know.

i use the 7000 double pedal. its a good pedal, only one complaint is that the foot board thing (whatever its called) wobbels a bit, but other than that its good.

IMO the Pacific BOA pedal is horrible. The foot board base is oversized to prevent the flimsy pedal from wobbling. The pedal foot board flexes to much. I have concerns about longevity issues. The beaters fall apart easily. It's comparitively priced to the DW 9000 series. 9000 = BOA ?? No contest.

I'd take a 7000 over a BOA.

In your case though, give the 5002AD3 a try. Its a well built, great overall top end pedal.

Eliminator. Its really adjustable and it will last you a long time. Not to mention with the cams, it suits what kind of playing you want. Its the only pedal to get.

This is all IMHO.

Iron Cobras suck.
DW 7000,5000, and 9000 are OK
Elims are nice

I understand that Flying Dragons have stability issues, and have a strange collapsing system for transport. Or am I mistaken?

I wouldn't know. They haven't been outside yet. But I meant the feel of the pedal.

Cobra or Elims.

I play cobra's the now... but damn... those Eliminators are really beggining to look nice. My Cobras are seeming kinda loose these days. Cant get the spring tensions right... Eliminators to the rescue me thinks.

Go 5000 or IC. Either one would be a great choice. Just try them out to make sure you get the one that feels best to you :thumb:

What about DW 4000's noone seems to mention them here, but thats what they have at G&G Music where I take lessons.

I suggest Axis (http://www.axispercussion.com), as usual, but of the previously mentioned pedals I suggest the DW 9000.

I bought the iron cobra double over the summer, and didn't like it very much..so I saved up more and bought the dw 5000 accel. double. Its alot nicer, and lighter feeling. However, I played my friends dw 7000, and it's a whole lot easier, because of the turbo drive cam system. The 5000's accelarater drive requires a ton of leg strength....which I still haven't built up after 4 months of playing it.
If you do spend the bucks on the 5000, get the accelarator despite the difficulty level.
If you want a turbo drive(easier system) get the 7000, because the only difference between the 5000 turbo and the 7000 turbo...are a few little upgrades and amenities.

Mmmmmm, my 5002 is on order as we speak...

...only problem is on using an 80s Premier single pedal till then.

Pearl 1002: Its exactly the same as the elimators, except you dont pay for extra cams that you stop using after 3 months.
