Well it's been leaked for a week, still I have only managed to get one song of this album.
The song that I have heard which was "Gemini Becoming the Tripod" is probably one of the best songs I have ever heard and I can't stop listening to it.
Which leads me to wanting more, I have searched this here internet from top to bottom in hopes of finding it...
Now I make this thread in request that someone can not upload it to YSI or send it to AIM.

I wish more metal bands were as ecclectic and emotional as Kayo Dot.

Kayo Dot doesn't have a genre.
Metal is the only thing you could place them in.
But that's just because.. there's no other genre.

My first comment is: Their violinist (Mia) is a ****ing hot japanese chick. omG~!
I have a boner for TWO reasons related to this band now.
I have trouble really getting into Kayo Dot. A little too artsy. They are supposedly heavily influenced by the techniques used to write more comtemporary classical music (romantic era? I've no idea). Still, only song I really like is "A Pitcher of Summer". Awesome.

Soulseek is good for pretty much anything. I found it easily there.
Dowsing Anemone with Copper Tongue is sitting on my computer, waiting to be listened to. When I get around to it, I'll come back to this thread. Meanwhile, Packers/Lions game.

I normally think of them as avant-garde, but that's mainly because that's what I do when I run out of ideas as to what genre bands are. I'd love to hear anything off the new album, not least because finding Choirs of the Eye for a reasonable price seems to be impossible.
Tower Records has copies at all of the Bay Area locations I've been to, which is more than 3. And if you're in the Bay Area in the first place you can always go to Amoeba, which actually sold out of Maudlin of the Well, like the week before I went so said the dude who specializes in weird metal there.

Yeah well, I own the actual releases for Bath and Leaving Your Body Map. And a mini-disc from the band of the "untitled secret song". And Toby's new solo album. And I used to have the motW poster until it got all dirtied up from a housefire.
And we'll just ignore the fact that I don't have either Kayo Dot album...
I haven't given Dowsing a proper full listen, just some single tracks late at night when I was too tired to properly listen, but so far I'm not diggin' it as much as Choirs. But it's still sooo good.
Y'all fans should check out Toby's new CD. It's a bit different... and can get boring at times, unless you're really into minimal atmospheric stuff... but the good stuff is great. Check out the song "Kandu vs. Corky (Horrorca)", I've never had music put me in such a creepy, anxious mood as that song does. Awesomeness. He has a myspace page with that song available to listen to, if you can't find it elsewhere.

and oh yeah... the new album wasn't hard for me to find with Soulseek... not easy, but not hard... and probably much easier than most other p2p programs...

The new one, or the old one?
