Well went too see the COB show last night in Worchester Mass, one word...incredible. doors opened at 8:10 we got pretty good seats (or bar stools) and behind us was a closed off area with signs saying that COB and Trivium where going to do signings after there sets. The show started at atleast 9:30 and Amon Amarth came on, now I've only heard a couple of songs by them and didn't really get into it so I didn't think i'd like them, I was wrong...there where great they came on they had a singer with a big viking beard and a big gut, the guitarist came on both using gibson explorers.
they had atleast 5 songs (couldn't remember names) but they preformed incredibly good I was very impressed.

after they closed we waited about 10 min I went and got a COB tour shirt and bought the "Are you dead yet?" CD again for the poster that came with it (and the cd comes into play later) then Trivium came on both using dime washburns. they played rain first I believe and where having alot of feedback from the mic at one point Matt said "Im sorry guy where having some ****ing technical diffuculties I think we where so metal we broke the speakers" . They played a couple other I didn't recognize and kept trying to fix the feedback problem finally they got it under control before matt got too pissed. as usual he was trying to get everyone into a pit but being in Massachussettes not alot of people got pissed.

then they started talking about dimes death and then started to play Walk which was great, but didn't do all of it. then they played "A Gunshot To The Head Of Trepidation" and then finished with "Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr". We got in line after they went off stage to get autographs. unfortunately COB had started by the time we got up there and got it signed, my friend was talking to corey about winning guitar competitions and Maine (which is where Corey's from), and my other friend got his leg signed (prosthetic) he just pulled it off and put it on the table and asked Matt if this is the wierdest thing he had signed which in reply Matt said "not even close".

After that we got down and sat for a while and watched the show, they played Living Dead Beat, Sixpounder and then I believe did Silent Night, Bodom Night. after that they played Bodom After Midnight/Bodom Beach Terror mix, and Jaska did a solo, then two others before that which where from the Hatebreeder/Something Wild albums which I recognized but don't remember the names, then Alexi and Janne did there solo battle. at that point we got inline for signing (we where determined) after that Roope had a solo then they played In Your Face, Are You Dead Yet?, needled 24/7 and then finished it off with Everytime I Die.
So we waited for COB to come, and the CD was needed to get autographs which was good cause if i hadn't bought it I wouldn't have been able to go up. And they finally came up, we where first so we went up I got autographs (they all looked beat and a little boozed up, especially Alexi) and I also Janne what kind of keyboards he uses.

So now I got a signed ticket by Trivium (which where alot better than I thought they where going to be) and a signed poster and CD, I gave the CD to my friend who couldn't wait in line any longer before his leg fell off. All in All a good night and was deffinitly worth it, now all I have to do is see Nevermore again.

Sorry if my grammar is lacking also.

Amon Amarth are great live, Trivium are rubbish, I have the change to go and see CoB live, but I think I'm not going to, save money for Cryptopsy.

You bought a CD you already had? Fanboy. :p

Amon Amarth was easily the best performance at the show I went to. CoB played well and all, but their set got really boring about half way into it...and Trivium was just a giant mess on stage, they sounded awful.

And I am sorry to hear that you had to spend money on that p.o.s. album twice. :\

I'd love to see Amon Amarth live. I'll probably go see Bodom next January when they're over here in the UK.

COB/Trivium And AA Worchester Review
Its Worcester. They even spelled it wrong on the tour shirt. But yes, Amon Amarth were amazing. I only know that they played Death in Fire, For the Stabwounds in our Backs, and Fate of the Norns. I didn't know the rest of the songs. They sounded great live. Trivium sucked. I watched them for about 10 minutes and lost interest. COB was good, I liked Jaskas drum solo and Alexi and the keyboarists. Well worth the money.
